Will my dog hate wearing it?

It's normal for them to paw at it or shake their head for a few minutes at first, like with any new collar. The padding is soft and doesn't cover their eyes or nose, so most dogs get used to it in a few short sessions. Start at home with treats, and put it on before the noise starts, not in the middle of the panic.

It's a comfort aid, not a medical treatment: if anxiety is strong or constant, talk to your vet.

Won't it fall off like what I've already tried?

Loose ear covers only hold the ears, so a good shake makes them slip. This one wraps around the head and fastens with a strap under the chin, so it holds at the sides and from below. Fit it snug, leaving two fingers under the strap, and it stays put during storms, car rides and fireworks.

How do I know which size to order?

Size goes by head circumference, not breed. Measure with a soft tape where the band sits: around the base of both ears and under the chin.

S: 11 to 14 in. M: 14 to 18 in. L: 18 to 23 in. Between two sizes? Order the larger one. And if it still doesn't fit, your first size exchange is free.

Does it squeeze their ears or head?

No. The cups are padded and the lining is soft, so the band holds them without squeezing. Eyes, nose and mouth stay free, so your dog can see, breathe and pant normally.

Check that it's snug, never tight, stay close the first few times, and take it off when the noise passes.

How do I wash it?

The fabric is water-resistant. Wipe it with a damp cloth or hand wash in cold water with a little mild soap, and let it air dry completely before using it again.
